Materials for the AI in 2026 workshop for clients of O'Connor Wealth Management, sponsored by the AI & Quantum Innovation Lab at Concordia University Wisconsin. The handouts below are written for people who are new to AI: large print, step-by-step instructions, and prompts you can copy and type. Each activity takes about 15 minutes in a free ChatGPT account; Gemini and Copilot work the same way.

Start with the setup sheet, then pick whichever activity sounds like fun.

00Start Here

Open ChatGPT in your browser, sign in, make the text bigger, find the microphone, and learn the three rules that never change. About five minutes, done once.

01Write a Note You've Been Meaning to Send

An email to a grandchild, a thank-you card, a firm letter to a company. You say what you want, it writes the first draft, you talk back until it sounds like you, then copy it into your email.

02Make a Funny Picture

Describe a picture in plain words and watch it get drawn. Change it without starting over, turn it into a birthday card, and save it. Optional: turn a photo of your own into a watercolor.

03Is This a Scam? And What Does This Letter Mean?

Spot the warning signs in a practice email and a suspicious phone call, make a five-rule checklist for the kitchen drawer, then get confusing paperwork explained in plain English, ending with the question that keeps you safe: what should I double-check with a real person?

Attendees who are already comfortable with AI can work through the three hands-on sessions from the Ignite & Inspire Conference 2026, which include datasets for analysis in Tableau and text classification.
